Teddy Bear Baby Shower Cake

Hello there! Welcome back to my sweet corner of the web. I'd like to share a super cute cake I got to make for a sweet friend a few months ago.

I loved how this came out. Sometimes the idea in my head manages to come out in sugar, and when that happens, I get all kinds of giddy.

A few cake decorating tips:

The teddy bear and clothes were cut from fondant and then colored. I used airbrush colors for the outlining and several shades of petal dust to shade the bear.  The fence was also outlined with airbrush color and then shaded with petal dust. The shoes were made from gumpaste using Sharon Wee's Baby Shoes class on Craftsy .Fun, fun cake to do.

I'd love to say I'll be back in a couple days with another cake, but I'm not going to make any promises. :o)

Till next time...
God's love and blessings!

  1. I absolutely LOVE this cake! Do you have a youtube video for it? I am not one for fondant and was thinking of taking the wilton class when I can get the money together for it.

    1. Thank you for the sweet compliment. I'm afraid I do not have a video for this cake. We have pretty lousy internet where we live, so uploading videos is not an easy thing to do. As for a class, you might want to check out Craftsy online. They have a couple of free classes that might get you started.
